Advanced Camera
The Playbook comes with a simple camera app that offers some basic functionality like aspect ratio, white balance, different modes, etc. But there are things missing: there is no timer or no burst mode for example. Video is also limited: you cannot digital-zoom while recording video and how about those cool time-lapse videos? Well, there’s an app called “Advanced Camera” that comes with all the missing features that I have just mentioned. I especially like the time-lapse mode and if you stabilize the Playbook on a tripod you will enjoy the timer option. All other functions like aspect ratio, scenes, etc. are also available. Highly recommended (and it already replaced the default camera app on my Playbook).
